You're getting started with your first e-learning. An e-learning is one of the types of learning activities you can create within your online academy. But what’s the structure like? We're here to explain how an e-learning is built.

General information

The highest level within an e-learning is the general information. This page is present in all types of learning activities. At this level, you provide a title, author, study time, theme, general description, and skill(s) to your e-learning.

You can also add an image here. This image becomes the thumbnail for the e-learning. As an administrator, you'll see it in the 'Courses' section, and as a user, you’ll see it for open learning activities you're enrolled in.

Part

You begin by adding 'parts' to create the initial division. A pars is a way to structure your e-learning. You give each part a title and an image. Optionally, you can add an introductory text to describe the content of that specific part.

On the page where you add parts, you can include an overarching introduction that explains how the e-learning module is structured.

Chapter (optional)

Next, you structure the sections. You can add an additional layer of structure here called a 'chapter'. This can be used to further divide content within a section.

Paragraph / Test

Within a section or chapter, you can create 'paragraphs' and 'tests'. A paragraph or test can contain various types of learning formats, such as questions, text, videos, audio, or a combination of learning formats. A test consists solely of questions and has additional settings related to test functionality.

Learning format

The lowest level is the learning format. This is the actual content, such as a section of text, a video, or a question. Learning formats can be found in the Warehouse.

💡 Tip: Conditions within an e-learning

Based on the different levels, you can set conditions that determine when a user can progress further in the e-learning.
